On October 25, 2007, David J. Anable stepped in as interim Chief Executive of The Principia. [Read the announcement.]

David is a graduate of Oxford and Cambridge Universities in England and spent more than two decades working as a journalist for The Christian Science Monitor, serving as managing editor from 1985-1988. He then became a journalism professor and chair of the School of Journalism at Boston University. Before retiring to freelance writing in 2006, David was president of the International Center for Journalists in Washington, D.C. He and his wife Isobel (JC'58) have three daughters - Alex (C'90), Tessa Bollinger (C'92), and Perryn Ferris (US'90).
