Academic Internships

Principia academic internships are administered through Academic & Career Advising (ACA) in conjunction with a Principia faculty member. These internships may help fulfill the graduation requirements for some majors, but all academic internships offer the following:

  • The student receives support and advice from a faculty sponsor.
  • The development of a required learning contract that helps to ensure that the internship is a high level, academically based experience.
  • The internship will appear on the student’s transcript.

Securing academic internships takes time. Therefore, it is important to begin your search as early as possible. The preliminary steps for your academic internship include the following steps during the quarter prior to your internship:

Do not complete any forms until contacting the Internship Coordinator (x5778)
