Principia College:
Admissions
Admissions Counselors
Christine Love

“I didn’t know what to expect,” says Christine. “I hadn’t heard much about Prin prior to my visit during the spring of my junior year, except that it was a college for Christian Scientists and that it had a good education department. By the end of my visiting weekend I knew that Prin was the school for me; I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the idea of sharing my college experience with a community that has the same spiritual foundation I do.

“One thing that has stood out to me at Principia is the freedom for students to try anything they are interested in,” she remarks. “When I came in as a freshman, I had never done anything with student government – and yet, two weeks later, I found myself co-president of my dorm! And when I wasn’t working hard on my Education and English majors, I helped organize a Public Affairs Conference and was a Reader in the Christian Science Organization. In my spare time I took flute lessons and worked as a College Weekend Ambassador. My junior year I also studied abroad with a Principia group in Austria and Germany.”

A welcome discovery for Christine? “Students here are not limited. Rather, they are encouraged to try something new, to push themselves in ways they’re not used to.

“My time as a student here taught me so much – as much outside the classroom as inside – and as an admissions counselor, I have the opportunity to share that world of opportunities with others. As you consider Principia, ask yourself, ‘What can Prin do for me – and what can I do for Prin?’ It just might be the right fit!”
