Principia College offers four academic scholarships, based strictly on published criteria listed in the chart below.   The GPA is re-evaluated by the Admissions Office, including only core academic courses, with additional value given to all Honors, IB and AP coursework.  By completing the general application for admission, you will automatically be considered for the academic scholarships.

The priority deadline is January 15th.  Applications submitted after January 15th will be considered as funds are available.

The renewal grade point average for the Trustee and Chairman's scholarships is 3.5. The renewal grade point average for the President's scholarship is 3.4. The renewal grade point average for the Dean's scholarship is 3.3.

*Students are not required to take both the SAT and ACT.  SAT and ACT qualifying scores shown include only the scores from the critical reading/English and math sections of the new SAT or ACT.  The score from the new writing section on either the SAT or ACT, while required for admission, will not be considered in determining qualification for academic scholarships.
