Visiting Dates : Costs & Travel Fund

If you are a high school junior or senior, or if you are considering transferring to Principia, we invite you to be our guest for an extended three-day weekend visit. During the weekend, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, get answers, and gain a new perspective on what it’s really like to be a student at Principia College. You’ll also:

  • Attend classes of your choice
  • Meet one-on-one with professors and coaches
  • Attend social events like movies, concerts, theatre performances, lectures, or other activities
  • Meet and hear from College administrators
  • Attend athletic events
  • Make friends with current students and other visitors
  • Meet with your admissions counselor

If you're ready to request your spot on a visiting weekend, follow these four easy steps:

Step 1

Submit your online Visiting Weekend Request Form

Step 2

Once you have completed the online form, you will be contacted by the Admissions Office informing you how to book your travel. You are not officially registered until you have booked your transportation through Principia's travel agent.

Step 3

Book your travel arrangements through Principia's travel agent at least 14 days prior to your departure.

Step 4

Since Principia's travel fund pays for all but $50 of your airfare to St. Louis, we require this payment be made prior to your arrival. All checks should be made out to: Principia College and be sent directly to the Principia Admissions Office. Remember, your payment must be received before the visiting weekend.
International Students

If you are an international student, please know that Principia's travel fund does not cover College visiting weekends for students from Africa, Asia, Australia, and certain other countries. If you are from one of these countries we invite you to contact our International Student Admissions Counselor by email at intladmissions@principia.edu to learn more about visiting opportunities and about the admissions application process.
