Two Million Minutes

A critically acclaimed documentary comparing public education in America, China, and India, Two Million Minutes has generated lively debate in national media including NPR, CNN, Oprah, U.S. News & World Report, Time, and The Washington Post. The title represents the average amount of time students spend in high school. Inspired by Thomas Friedman’s book The World Is Flat, the film raises troubling questions about young Americans’ readiness to compete globally against their more driven and disciplined counterparts overseas. Writer and producer Robert Compton is a graduate of Principia College and Harvard Business School.
