Henry Paulson Jr.
![]() Public Affairs Conference Keynote Speaker The Right Way to Engage China
As Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, “Hank” Paulson Jr. is the President’s leading policy advisor on a broad range of domestic and international economic issues. He brings to his post many years of experience on Wall Street, where he was chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs, a leading investment bank. Paulson sees the wide income gap between rich and poor in America as one of the nation’s foremost economic challenges, and he has been praised by President Bush as “a strong and consistent voice for corporate accountability.” In addition to his experience shaping U.S. economic policy and as a world-wide investment banker, Paulson and his wife Wendy have advised the Chinese government on environmental and land conservancy issues. Paulson’s father and brother are Principia College alumni. The talk is free, but tickets are required. For reservations, e-mail Tim.Booth@principia.edu or call 618-374-5161. |
