Christian Science Military Ministry

Former Principia parent Kim Schuette first learned about the Christian Science military chaplaincy in Sunday School. He later served on active duty (1975–1983) as a Christian Science Army chaplain. His recently released book, Christian Science Military Ministry 1917–2004, tells how the Church of Christ, Scientist, embraces servicemen in war and peace. His talk will include the history of the chaplaincy in combat, women in the chaplaincy, and interfaith dialogue among chaplains. He will also share dramatic accounts of protection, healing, and faith under fire.
