With the exception of three years, Lyn Gerber De Laney has coached Principia College tennis teams since 1979.

As a student athlete she became a USTA-ranked player in the St. Louis/Missouri Valley Sectional by the age of 16, played #1 for Principia College, was sectional champion and a national qualifier. Lyn has been a USPTA professional since 1975 and, since 1982, has coached six All-Americans who have garnered three national singles titles, four national doubles titles, one national team championship, and 16 conference titles for Principia.

In 2000 Lyn was named Paralympic coach for the U.S.A. women's wheelchair tennis team. She is president of the Gateway Confluence Wheelchair Sports Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that provides recreational and competitive programs for people with disabilities.

Assistant Coach Casey Reynolds

Casey played competitive tennis through high school and college, his last two years at Principia. He qualified for Nationals his junior year and achieved a senior record of 18-2 in singles and 19-1 in doubles. After college he competed in the St Louis area, attaining a ranking in singles and doubles. In 1992 and 1993 Casey served as volunteer assistant coach for the Men’s team under Larry Gerber. This is Casey’s second year as the Assistant Coach for the Men’s and Women’s teams under Lyn De Laney, and he is loving it! Casey is currently a resident counselor for the Office of Student Life at Principia, which is a great combination as he gets to work with the students on and off the court.
