After-School Worker

— Nine-month, partial school-day position(3:00-5:30); beginning September 2008

Assist the After-School Program Director. Supervises students after school on the playground and in the After-School Care room. Monitors the afternoon playground. Works with Director and student helpers supervising the After-School playground or setting up and supervising indoor activities. Facilitates safety and helping students problem solve through inharmonious situations; disciplining when necessary. Works with the Director to establish consistent expectations and policies regarding the playground and other activities. Monitors the check-in desk when instructed to do so by the Director. Assists Director with record-keeping as needed. Coordinates the general upkeep and cleanliness of the facilities. Helps establish a comfortable and productive recreation/learning environment for students. Arrives at After-School Care room by 3:00 p.m. to set out snack and make any additional necessary preparations. May stay until all children are picked up--usually between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. Takes over Director's responsibilities if the Director needs to be absent. Assistant Houseparent, Home Department - Boys' Dorms

— Part-time, nine-month position, approximately 30 hours per week, beginning August 2008

Provides additional adult accessibility to a hall when the full-time houseparent is not available or would provide opportunities for a full-time houseparent to work one-on-one with a student. Chief Human Resources Officer

Provides leadership in the active use of the Purpose and Policies of Principia in the development and administration of human resource policies and practices for all faculty and staff, service personnel and student employment across both campuses. Areas of responsibilities include personnel analysis and planning, recruitment and hiring, wage and salary administration, evaluating and suggesting new benefit or compensation structures or changes to existing plans, employee relations, personnel record-keeping, governmental compliance, employee training and development, and HR information systems. This position manages a Human Resource staff of six between two campuses, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. One-to-One Academic Technology Computer Specialist

— Full-time, 12 months, beginning as soon as possible

Provides excellent customer service in support of the School's technology program. Ensure that all students, faculty, coaches, house-parents, and administrators have the support they need to be productive with their computers. Essential Duties: Runs the department�s help desk to provide excellent service and communication in support of the one-to-one environment, including documenting, tracking, and monitoring to ensure timely problem resolution. Configures, images, installs, and distributes new computer equipment and loaner computers, as directed. Provides assistance, repair, and configuration support of tablet, laptop, and desktop computers. Resolves computer hardware problems, either by repairing on-site, calling for on-site help, or shipping off-site. Re-images computers as needed and according to established procedures. Helps with usability questions within the context of defined priorities. Installs and tests software updates, as directed. Supports preventative maintenance on computer systems. Maintains up-to-date documentation in assigned areas of responsibility. Participates in end-user events as appropriate, i.e. client training. Works with CIS Technical Support Group (TSG) to resolve network issues. Works closely with Academic Technology Coordinators in support of the school's technology vision and environment.
