Principia Lower School

FIFTH GRADE SUPPLIES FOR FALL, 2006

Items that you purchased from the Parents’ Association fundraiser or should purchase on your own (On or before the first day of school, please bring the following items labeled with your child's name):

1. 2” three-ring binder with zipper + built-in compartments (sturdy hardware, durable heavy canvas)
2. 8-tab colored subject dividers
3. Spiral bound notebook (without perforated pages) containing at least 100 pages
4. 1 ream of wide-ruled notebook paper
5. Steno notebook 6x9 with approx. 80 sheets
6. 1 pack of white 3x5 ruled index cards (100 cards each pack)
7. Bottle of rubber cement with applicator brush (4 oz. size) – Elmer’s brand
8. A box (5x8) to hold the following supplies:
9. One dozen wooden pencils - Papermate Mirado Black Warrior (must be #2)
10. Eraser
11. Box of 12 colored pencils – Prismacolor (Sanford) (PC952)
12. Highlighter
13. Scissors (please label with permanent marker)
14. Scotch tape and dispenser
15. Two (2) dry erase markers (large); eraser will be supplied at school.
16. Composition book (wide ruled, 100 sheets, 9¾x7½”) (Roaring Spring #77230)

Items to bring from home (Bring the following items labeled with your child’s name.):

1. Summer reading list
2. Tote bag or backpack
3. Large box of tissues
4. Art smock (a big, old shirt is fine)
5. Sweater or light jacket labeled with child’s name (to be kept in locker throughout the year for weather changes)

(Bring the following items labeled with first and last names that will be stored in the P.E. locker):

6. Pair of dark shorts
7. Principia T-shirt (purchased at bookstore)
8. Sturdy multi-purpose athletic shoes (secured with laces or velcro-no slip ons); may be worn to school or kept at school
9. Bathing suit, REQUIRED, (labeled with name) for both boys and girls
10. A sweatshirt and pair of sweatpants need to be left at school
