August Online Courses

August 2, 2012

Summer is a great time for learning—at the beach, in the countryside, on the road, or simply from the comfort of home. You can take Principia Lifelong Learning (PLL) online courses anywhere in the world as long as you have Internet access.

PLL online courses offer adult learners the best of traditional and online instruction in one compact, month-long session. One night a week, you’ll have real-time interaction with the teacher and students during live class sessions. Then between sessions, you’re free to move at your own pace, completing assignments whenever it fits your schedule.

All PLL online courses run for four weeks and cost $180; Principia Club members receive a 10% discount. Once you’ve tried one, don’t be surprised if you come back for more!

The next session runs August 27–September 23. Secure your spot in one of these classes today:

Poetry: Mystery and Essence Faculty: Linda Conradi Live sessions meet Tuesday evenings

From whimsy to wonder, poetry has the power to transport us to surprising places of the heart and mind. Join this survey of known and unknown poems, look at them in a new light, and try your hand at crafting a poem or two to share with the class.

Bible Series: Old Testament Historical Books (Joshua–II Kings) Faculty: Mike Hamilton

Live sessions meet Thursday evenings

Guided by the chair of Principia College's Religion and Philosophy Department, you'll explore the narrative core of the Hebrew scriptures. Read tales of conquest, learn from the prophets, and meet unforgettable figures from Deborah to David.
