Tennis: Beginning
and Intermediate
Lyn De Laney, USPTA certified professional/coach
Learn while you play. Fundamentals, scoring, positioning, and basic strategy are taught in the beginning class through simple drills and actual play. For the more advanced class, there will be an emphasis on positioning and strategies. You can improve your game through drills and playing doubles. Have fun learning how to work with a partner to get the most out of your team. Expand your comfort zone and add more variety to your game. Receive individual instruction while you have fun playing the game. For both classes, plan to bring your racquet and tennis shoes.

Golf: Beginning and Intermediate
Steve Greene and Bruce Schwartz, golf coaches
Learn or review the fundamentals of the game — grip, balance, posture, rhythm, and club head feel — in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Bring 5, 7, and 9 irons and a 3 wood if you have them. Some individual clubs can be supplied for the class. Steve Greene will work with more advanced students, and Bruce Schwartz will teach beginners. Bring a full set of clubs if you would like afternoon opportunities to play at a nearby course.

Campus Paths and Trails
John Oyer, M.S.S., assistant coach football/basketball
Come and join us as we get to know the Principia College campus a little better while we walk for fitness. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan were very aware of the size of the campus that would be needed here, and we take advantage of that on our walks. There are long and short walks, some on roads and some on trails. Regardless of where they are, the surroundings are always beautiful, and there is much history to learn about the campus.
6:30 – 7:20am, two-week course

Ruth Doering, professional dance instructor

Learn a modified version of “Steam Heat” from The Pajama Game, Bob Fosse’s hit Broadway show. Be inspired by watching film of great dancers. Feel the freedom of walking and leaping and praising God.

Aquasize
John Oyer, M.S.S., assistant coach football/basketball
Sound like fun? It truly is, while at the same time we are getting a great workout in the water. Each year this class uses the water in new ways to extend movement, range of motion, flexibility, coordination, and strength. We have a variety of workouts that don’t require getting your hair wet. All of our workouts take place in the shallow end of the pool. All that is required is a smile and a suit … the rest is just fun in motion.
