About Principia
For over one hundred years, Principia has educated children in a manner and atmosphere consistent with Christian Science. Faculty and staff seek to develop the whole man by nurturing each student’s intellectual, spiritual, moral, social, and physical growth.
The Principia School in St. Louis County, Missouri, serves children from birth through high school. Principia College, across the Mississippi river in Elsah, Illinois, provides a liberal arts education to a diverse student body from over 20 countries.
Although Principia accepts only Christian Science students and is staffed by Christian Scientists, it is an independent educational institution, not an activity of the Christian Science Church.
