Radiocarbon
Date
A parent has generously underwritten an effort to date Benny's teeth. So far the lab has not been able to sample enough organic material to be able to get a reasonable date, but they continue to try.
We are collaborating with the Illinois State Museum and the Illinois State Geological Survey on dating some organic material sampled from the paleosol (ancient soil) on which the bones are lying. We'll keep you posted!
