Ways To Volunteer
Get involved with your class
As a volunteer for your Reunion Class Committee you’ll get involved with your class to encourage participation in your upcoming College or Upper School Reunion and help plan special activities during the Reunion weekend. The Reunion Class Committee plays a vital role in the success of each Reunion. The enthusiasm communicated to classmates about getting together and “coming home” to Principia builds an eagerness and interest for alumni who might not consider attending. “The more the merrier” and as a volunteer you’ll find it very rewarding when you have a part in seeing so many of your classmates together again. Working as a 50th Reunion Campaign Committee volunteer you’ll be part of a long tradition of alumni who provide invaluable service to your classmates and Principia. Through reconnecting with your classmates, friendships will rekindle and alumni who may have been out of touch will once again feel embraced and part of their alma mater. As a Committee member you’ll have the opportunity to participate in conference calls with campus leadership, educate classmates on the many ways they can support your 50th Reunion Campaign, and plan and promote your 50th Reunion celebration. As a local volunteer leader for your Principia Club you’ll be part of a network of volunteers serving over 70 Principia Clubs world-wide. Volunteers serve on the local club board or volunteer to help plan and host special events or activities in their community. Local events include Christmas Sings, family picnics, talks by Principia faculty, and Principia student athletic competitions and musical performances. Join with alumni and friends in bringing Principia to your local community! Office: Alumni & Field Relations Bring prospective students to the attention of Principia.
As an Admissions Representative you’re part of a large volunteer group working directly with the Principia College and the St. Louis Admissions Offices. You are the primary contact in your area for identifying and submitting names of all the Christian Science youth in your community. You will have the opportunity to answer questions about the institution, encourage visiting weekend participation, host small social events, and provide information to prospective students and families in your area. Using a fast and easy submission form available below, representatives quickly send names and contact information to the Admissions Office. As Class Agent volunteer you take on a vital role in supporting annual giving to Principia by representing your class in a variety of ways. You’ll work directly with the Annual Fund office to help educate classmates on the importance of financial support for their alma mater, explain the many ways available to give a contribution, and maintain regular communication with classmates to encourage yearly donations. Choose to become a Career Contact volunteer and support current Principia students and recent graduates in their search for a career and employment after graduation. Volunteer by sharing your career expertise and information about job opportunities in your field of interest, provide an internship or externship, and share graduate school information.
