Inez Maubane Jones
Inez Maubane Jones (C'95) co-founded a communications company MCG Communications in 2001, specializing in public relations, communication skills training, and publications. She launched Ulimi Lwami language centers in Durban and Cape Town, South Africa, in partnership with the S.A. Broadcasting Corporation while at Vega School of Brand Leadership, South Africa’s largest and most accredited tertiary education institution.
Inez lived in Hong Kong for seven years and is a contributing writer for Toyo Keizai (Tokyo Business Today) where she covers social, tech, and educational trends related to parenting. She is the author of a children’s book series, “The Contest,” reviewed as “an important message of self-worth, empathy for others and searching and using what you’re good at to help others.”
She is development and communications director of the nonprofit Bainbridge Youth Services and the former executive director of the nonprofit Arts & Humanities Bainbridge, where she was nominated Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year (2023). She also serves on the boards of Bainbridge Performing Arts and Common Ground Committee.
Inez and her two children live on Bainbridge Island, WA, where is a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Bainbridge and teaches Sunday School. She earned a master's in journalism at Temple University.
