Bruce Bond

Bruce Bond (HON’19) worked in the information technology industry, including working at Gartner, a leading IT research and advisory firm for 20 years. Bruce managed a research division at Gartner that focused on IT use, evolution, and trends within specific industries, including education (K-12 and higher ed). Bruce is a member of the Technology Advisory Council for Princeton University which advises on technology trends, issues, best practices, and the university’s technology strategy. Prior to his years with Gartner, Bruce worked in management for three tech start-up companies that were eventually acquired.

A lifelong Christian Scientist, Bruce has been active in the New Canaan, Connecticut, branch church as First and Second Reader, chair of the Board, and Sunday School superintendent and teacher. He has also served as a member of the Tenacre Board of Trustees, chair of Principle Foundation (NY chapter), fundraising chair of Mid-Atlantic Regional Youth Meeting (1992), and secretary of the Christian Science Organization at Princeton.

Bruce is a founder, president, and board member of Common Ground Committee, a group formed by Christian Scientists with a healing mission to “bring light not heat to public discourse.”

Bruce received a BA in politics from Princeton University in 1979. He and his wife, Lisa, and son, Jordan (C’22), live in Somers, New York. His father (US’43, C’48) and brother (C’69) also are Principia alums.
