Dr. Scott L. Schneberger

Dr. Scott L. Schneberger has been a Principia Board member for five years and is presently the Board Chair.

Scott has served as Principia’s Acting Chief Executive and the College's Dean of Academics and later Provost. Before serving as Dean, Scott had been a business professor at five universities for 13 years. At one university, he co-founded a research center on emerging technologies.  Earlier, he retired from the Navy as a Commander after 20 years of service in Navy Intelligence.

Scott grew up in the Chicago suburbs, is a 1970 graduate of Principia College (Political Science), earned an MS from the Naval Postgraduate School (Computer Information Systems), and a PhD from Georgia State University (Business Administration, Computer Information Systems).  He has served as First Reader, board president, Sunday School teacher, and in other committee work in 16 branch churches. He is class taught and has been a member of The Mother Church since 1966.

Scott and his wife Cosy (C '73) divide their time between their home in Austin, TX and their cabin in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. Cosy has been involved with The Campership Fund since its inception, most recently as its national Executive Director. Their daughter Sunny (US '02, C '06) is working as an architect in Austin, TX.
