Principia College is ranked as the #1 Best Value National Liberal Arts College in America by U.S. News & World Report's prestigious 2022–2023 Best Colleges Rankings survey.

Overall, Principia ranks in the top 25 percent of all National Liberal Arts Colleges—climbing eight spots from #59 to #51—and stands as the top-ranked national liberal arts college within a 100-mile radius of St. Louis, Missouri. And, with 24 percent of our student population hailing from more than 26 different countries, we tied at #2 for Most International Students for National Liberal Arts Colleges.

U.S. News and World Report is the global authority in education rankings. The rankings assessed an all-time high of 1,500 U.S. bachelor's degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality. Schools are placed into ranking categories, including National Universities, National Liberal Arts Colleges, Regional Colleges and Regional Universities. The Best Value rankings compare overall quality of the institution related to its price and any need-based aid or discounts given. Rankings were released September 12, 2022.
